The Lake Summerset Security Department would like to thank everyone who dropped treats off to the Security Department. They were very much appreciated.

ICE FISHING: New rules for ice fishing at lake Summerset. Night ice fishing from December 1 until April 30 - from sunset to sunrise, all guest ice fishermen must be accompanied by the welcoming Member and must also possess an LSA fishing permit and Illinois fishing license. The guest may fish alone in his/her own ice shelter, but must be within speaking distance (maximum 40yards) of the member. All ice fishing shelters must have owner’s name and address on them, and must be removed from the ice every night.

ICE RESCUE TRAINING: Durand Fire and Rescue will be training at Lake Summerset the first Sunday of February. They practice every year to keep up on Ice Rescue. This is a very interesting training session and the public of LSA is welcome to watch them practice. The actual practice usually begins around 10:30am.

SNOW REMOVAL: When you are in your driveway facing the road, please push snow to the right of your driveway. This way when the snowplow goes past your drive they will be pushing the snow away from your drive, instead of into it. To avoid a safety hazard, do not push or blow snow from your driveway into the road, especially after the roads have been cleared.

GUESTS/RULES: Make sure that you let your guests know what our rules and regulations are at Lake Summerset. Your guests must abide by these rules, as do you. REDBOOK Section B 1(k) states: You are responsible for the action of your guests and any fines that may be levied if they violate these Regulations. You should take care that your guests know and comply with these Regulations and Restrictions.

NEW DATA SHEETS: By now many of you have received new data sheets to fill out. One of the forms is your red pass/amenity /contractor sheets. Do take the time to check these sheets over and make any necessary corrections to them. These sheets must be returned by March 1, 2010. Return them even if you made no changes, as they will not be renewed automatically.
